Abstract: Innovations in assessing teamwork and collaboration in vocational settings are essential for preparing students for modern work environments that emphasize collective problem-solving and interdependence. This study explores emerging assessment methods and their impact on student learning outcomes and employability skills. Objectives include evaluating the effectiveness of innovative assessment tools, exploring perceptions of teamwork assessment among instructors and students, and identifying best practices for integrating collaborative skills into vocational curricula. A survey research design is selected to gather data from 150 participants, including vocational educators and students, using purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse vocational disciplines. Case studies will focus on innovative assessment practices implemented in vocational schools in Rivers State, chosen for its progressive educational policies and cultural diversity. Findings indicate that innovative assessment methods, such as peer evaluations and project-based assessments, enhance students' teamwork skills and holistic learning experiences. Recommendations highlight the adoption of technology-enhanced assessment tools, faculty training in collaborative pedagogies, and curriculum reforms to embed teamwork competencies across vocational disciplines.
